As the second playing of the chorus begins, it is shown to be night, and the group are on a street in a neighborhood, where they are dancing while holding flashlights. The group proceeds to a house party. Shortly afterwards, the group are in a dark forest, where there are several disco balls hanging from trees. Gomez then appears surrounded by several pink balloons, wearing pink and yellow sunglasses, as well as in an empty and dark football field. A few people are shown jumping into a pool before returning to the dark street where they begin dancing with sparklers and fireworks go off around them. Finally, the group begins dancing and running through a brightly lit city, similar to Times Square as the video ends.

Hit The Lights means that what Selena's life would be if she wasn't a celebrity. in the music video, the beginning started off when she's going around this place that looks like a farm..the corn field..etc..then it lead to a different set when she's partying with everyone kind of like what a teenager would do..("hit the lights, let the music move you, lose yourself tonight, come alive, let the moment take you lose control tonight")its basically about spending time with the people you love just having a good time and not worrying about the problems and things thats going on around you. i love the part "its a mad mad world gonna make an escape, its a perfect world when you go all the way". (:

Sounds like she is saying to people, do whatever you want, and in the end where she says "its a perfect world when you go all the way" sounds like the whole song is a vague reference to sex. "lets hit the lights and have sex" like one of the previous comments even makes a hint at it unknowingly "go out and do it" and not to mention "lose yourself" lose your virginity like i am sure she did to Justin Beiber and then "so lets go go go all the way" seriously it says it over and over, being a fan of Rock n Roll music i can tell when some one is making a reference about sex "Night and Day" sound like a sex freak cuz she did it for the first time. THIS SHOULDN'T BE ON THE DISNEY CHANNEL AND IT IS >.

It sounds like she is talking about having sex -.- read the lyrics again and think about the double meanings that Adults but not Children will know. If i said "lets go all the way" to a girl she would think it was sex and what else is there to "go all the way" once you "hit the lights" i obviously isn't going all the way to sleep... this song is out on disney and it's disturbing hearing a 5 year old kid singing this song. I like selena but this shouldn't be on disney.

Later on, Gomez and her posse take a house party by storm, dancing around the lit-up floor and frolicking around outside, illuminating the blackness with sparklers and flashlights. There are some really great solo scenes with Gomez that truly encompass the message and beat of the feel-good dance tune, as well. In one part, Gomez is seen looking super glam in a room filled with twinkly luminance courtesy of a disco ball. She can also be seen feeling the music in a room flooded with pink balloons. 2ff7e9595c
